Giving New Life to Every Organ and Every Patient

Targa Biomedical is advancing organ rescue, transplantation, and regenerative medicine through cellular protection technologies

About Targa

Where science
meets clinical need

Targa Biomedical is a Montréal-based company developing ex vivo technologies for organ preservation and conditioning before transplantation, as well as cell preservation solutions. Founded in 2018 by Dr. Shant Der Sarkissian and Dr. Nicolas Noiseux, Targa is advancing TBM-005 toward a first-in-human clinical evaluation, initially in lung transplantation, with potential expansion to other organs. The company is also extending its platform into regenerative medicine through advanced cryopreservation and cell storage solutions for cell therapy and biomanufacturing.

Our mission

Access to transplantation is limited not only by the number of donors, but also by the quality of available organs.
Targa’s technology is designed to address this critical challenge.
